Busy Busy Busy

"Busy, Busy, Busy - is what we Bokonists whisper whenever we think of how complicated and unpredictable the machinery of life is."
- Kurt Vonnegut, Cat's Cradle

Here is a few of the upcoming happenings I'm involved with along the West Coast.

2ND STREET MURAL - Outdoor Wall
Finished very soon...early December

I've been working in Downtown San Jose most weekends in November with a crew of loyal painting pals. Pellet, Foot, Pugs, Lacey Bryant, Ages and even my Dad have had all had a day or two helping me work on this wall. The 2nd Street mural is huge and nearly finished. Next time you are in Downtown SJ take a look. Its the largest thing I've ever painted.
Here is a link to some of Cherri Lakey's photos of the wall in progress: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cherrilakey/3070471840/

Mural : 2nd Street Downtown San Jose

I do walls.

I'm in the middle of a huge project. The 2nd street mural is two stories high and past 90 feet wide. I've been working out across from the improv theater on most weekends, with a crew of good friends. There are lively comments from the downtown denizens and the occasional hobo. Lately I've been blessed with this amazing autumn weather. I'm hoping for more fall sunshine so the wall can be completed by December.
My Pop took some photos of us at work on Sunday.
Have a good laugh at the hole in my jeans.
Enjoy.

Yo's Sushi Club

I've just installed paintings and drawings at Yo's Sushi Club in San Francisco.
All of the work is from 2008, and a lot of it is from the Strong Vibes and Inklings shows. If your down in the Mission stop by, eat some Sushi and see some art.

Yo's Sushi Club
3369 Mission St
(between 30th St & Godeus St)
San Francisco, CA 94110

Meanwhile I've been busy with a huge mural project, work for the Fresh Produce show at Gallery AD, and work for a group show at Compound in Portland, OR.
I'll be posting a few images of all those projects very soon.

Remind People

"I've always believed that you don't teach anybody anything through art; What you do is remind people of their own knowledge. And it's knowledge that is not totally conscious. The pictures that hang in my brain and not on the wall are the ones that have reminded me of my own knowledge. "
