Walt Disney Family Museum: Open Studio Demonstration

This past weekend I was invited to be part of the Open Studio program at the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco.  It was a rare sunny day in the Presidio so I was able to set up on the front porch and enjoy the crowds gathered for the Off the Grid picnic event out on the front lawn.

I finished the line work on six large panels and managed to promote my upcoming Visual Storytelling class being held on Saturday May 16th.  I was thrilled to paint at the museum and a great opportunity to meet Camille Rose Garcia whose show Down the Rabbit Hole runs through November 3rd.

Fossil Mural - Live painting

Sahaya_ChildrensFaire2013 031

On April 15th 2013 I did a quick five hour live mural painting at the San Jose Children's Faire.  The night before I did a charcoal sketch on the two gessoed panels.  All of the actual paint work was done onsite at the fair. The event started at 10am.  I finished the mural, with some good help, by 3pm.  The final piece is 8 ft by 4 ft will likely be hung in the San Jose Library.
