Barbarians pt. 4 (Collaborative Painting)

Barbarians Collaboration

Last week Beastlore artist Matthew Pugnetti came over and we spent half a day painting. Here is a photo of the results, unfinished. Note the tea cup in hand. True Barbarians drink tea. Green tea. Sometime this summer we are hoping to show this piece, his Barbarian paintings, and all of my Barbarian paintings. Several other collaborations in the works.

I'm back listening to all my old Return to Forever albums.
Here's a great performance of Vulcan Worlds from 1974: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxg1AoEz9p4

And the Barbarian of dance, Junior, came up in conversation last week.
Here is one of my favorite battles, featuring Ronnie : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQScdtIZUpE

Here is the first posting of paintings from the Barbarians Series.
I've been working larger, on canvas and also on mounted paper (ripping off the backing once enough layers have been built up). I'll be posting more soon.

And here is an old demo I did at Meridian Gallery.
After months of sitting in the basement at the Gallery, I thought I'd give it some light. Its about to be painted over.
