Here is a few sketches from the last week or so:

A portrait my pal, writer, musician, and jokester Scott Sell.

I attended a talk at the Asian Art Museum for the Totoro Forest Project. Enrico Casaroa and Ronnie Del Carmen spoke about the influence of Miyazaki films on their art. The Totoro Forest Project was organized by friend Yukino Peng and opens at the Cartoon Art Museum SF on Tuesday December 16th.

I took a long walk from the Civic Center through Downtown SF, Chinatown and finally ended up in North Beach. Here is two of my favorite drawings from that night.

Nucleus Holiday Benefit Auction

Nucleus Gallery in the LA area is having a holiday benefit auction for the Red Cross.
I've got a small watercolor in the auction. I painted it early last year before going to Japan, so its been ages since I've seen the piece in person. It was one of three small paintings featured in the Nucleus Power in Numbers show.

2nd Street Mural. Downtown San Jose

On Monday just after sundown I put the final touches on the 2nd street mural, signed the wall, and did my last clean up with Pellet. I'm quite proud. Its the largest thing I've painted so far. Stop by if your in downtown San Jose and see it in person. It took nearly 15 days of painting and several days of prep. I'm grateful for all the help from Cherri and Brian, and all the artists who helped out: Pellet, Cisco, Ages, Lacey Bryant, Pugs, my Mom, and especially my Dad. Thanks. There will be more.

And a few pictures by Cherri
